PT TRENDS TECHNOLOGY INDONESIA was established in 2023 and is based in West Jakarta, in the Jakarta Capital Region, Indonesia — an artificial intelligence company founded by a team out of Silicon Valley.
We believe AI shouldn't belong only to the people who understand it.
What we set out to do
Fintech is not short of AI. It is short of AI an ordinary person can actually use.
Most AI trading tools ask you to learn them first: make sense of the numbers, read the charts, judge when to start. Those requirements are what keep most people out.
What we set out to do is take every one of them away — so that AI in finance reaches an ordinary person in the simplest, most direct form it can take.
What we're building
Trends Technology works at the point where AI and financial technology meet. We have built strategic partnerships with a number of compliant digital-asset trading platforms, and together we are exploring applications of AI in trading-strategy parameter optimisation and automation.
TrendX Trading is our flagship product — an app that puts AI into the places where trading actually happens, open to users worldwide.
Where we came from
The founding team came out of Silicon Valley. Our R&D and operations teams are spread across Silicon Valley, New York, Dubai, Hong Kong and Jakarta.
This technology started out far from ordinary people. We want to bring it closer.
We think the worth of a technology is not how advanced it is. It is whose hands it ends up in.
The engineering behind it
Twenty years-plus of software engineering
Our core people have spent more than twenty years in enterprise systems. What that gives you isn't a methodology — it's knowing where systems quietly go wrong.
A back end split by responsibility, running in the cloud
Market data, order execution, the strategy engine, risk control, positions and assets, notifications — each is its own service, deployed on its own. One failing doesn't take the rest down.
An alert has to fire and actually arrive
Strategies run continuously, so the system can't only be fine while someone is watching. A service going offline raises an alert within tens of seconds, and alerts are routed by severity. We also test the alert path itself on a schedule — an alert that can't get out is no alert at all.
Before anything is bought, it passes the risk gate
The strategy executes the rules; risk control holds the boundary outside them — is there enough money, are the settings legal, should it stop first. Every buy-in goes through that gate. No exceptions.
The markets we serve
We serve Indonesia and Singapore. The product speaks several languages, and legal texts are handled per market.
Rules around digital assets differ a great deal between markets, and they keep changing. We design compliance as part of the product, not as a layer added after launch.
How we build
If we cannot stand behind it, it does not go in
Every line describing a feature has to match what the code actually does. What we can't do, we don't write. What's half done isn't written as done.
Defaults sit on the conservative side
Anything with risk in it is off by default and waits for you to turn it on. We don't flip a switch a user has never flipped.
When something breaks, we say so
When something's off, it stops and tells you rather than carrying on. We'd rather interrupt you once than let you continue without knowing.
