Order rejected? Check which pairs your access code allows

If creating a strategy shows "this pair is not within your API Key's authorized range", or the exchange returns Symbol not whitelisted for API key, this is usually not a balance problem. Your exchange API Key has a symbol whitelist / permission restriction — only listed pairs can be traded.

Binance

  1. 1.Log in to Binance (web) → profile icon → API Management.
  2. 2.Find the API Key you bound to this platform and click Edit.
  3. 3.Locate "Restrict access to trusted symbols (Symbol Whitelist)":
    • –Simple: turn the restriction off to allow all spot pairs; or
    • –Precise: add the pairs you want (e.g. ZECUSDT, UNIUSDT) to the whitelist.
  4. 4.Save (email / Google Authenticator confirmation may be required).
  5. 5.Return here and create the strategy again.

⚠️ Security: enable trading permission only, and keep Withdrawal disabled.

Other exchanges

OKX / HTX / Bittime work the same way: in each exchange's API management, check whether the Key restricts tradable pairs or permissions, and allow the target pair.

Why can't we enable it automatically?

Exchanges provide no endpoint to query whether a Key can trade a given pair, so we cannot detect your whitelist in advance — we can only warn you when an order is rejected. Once allowed, it stays in effect.
