Creating an API key on HTX
TrendX uses this key to place orders for you. If the permissions are wrong, your strategy will start but never place a single order.
Step 1: Open API Management
On a computer: sign in to HTX → hover over the profile icon, top right → API Management → create a System-Generated key.
In the app: profile icon, top left → settings icon, top right → Trading Setting → API Management → Create API.
Step 2: Tick these permissions

| Trade | ✅ Turn it on — without this your strategy cannot place a single order |
| Withdraw | 🔴 Leave it off |
⚠️ The exact wording HTX uses for these can differ between versions and languages, so what you see may not match the table above. Go by meaning, not by the exact words: anything that lets us read your account and place orders should be on; anything that lets money leave your account must stay off. If the options on your screen don't match, send us a screenshot at support@trendx.id and we'll check it with you.
Step 3: Fill in the IP field
In the IP field on the creation page, enter:
47.237.207.18If you enter several addresses, separate them with commas and no spaces.
Step 4: 🔴 HTX calls the API Key an "Access Key"
This is the single most common mistake HTX users make. When HTX finishes, it gives you two strings: an Access Key and a Secret Key.

- ·The Secret field in TrendX → paste HTX's Secret Key
The Secret is shown only once, so copy it straight away.
If something goes wrong

| Binding said success, but every order fails | Trading permission was never turned on. Binding only checks that we can read your account, so a read-only key binds successfully too |
| It says the key is invalid | You've most likely pasted HTX's Secret Key into the API Key field. That field needs the Access Key |
| The key is created but nothing works | HTX sometimes emails you a confirmation link that has to be clicked — check your inbox |
The safety line: never turn on withdrawal permission. Even if someone gets hold of your key,
without it they cannot move your money. Never send your Secret to anyone —
and we will never ask you for it.
